U.S. Airways Declares Bankruptcy
Story aired: Monday, September 13, 2004

U.S. Airways, the nation's seventh-largest airline, has filed for bankruptcy protection for the second time in as many years.

The Chapter 11 filing came after the airline's unions refused to agree to $800 million in annual cost cutting measures.

The airline is promising customers "business as usual" with no change in service. The real question is: will the airline survive?

Guests:

Michael E. Levine, a former senior airline executive and law professor at Yale University.
