Dozens Killed in Resort Blasts in Egypt
Story aired: Friday, October 08, 2004

Israel's intelligence chief told cabinet ministers today that the terror attacks last night in two Egyptian resorts were most likely carried out by Al Qaeda.

At least 28 people --14 of them vacationing Israelis -- and more than 120 were wounded when several bombs exploded at the Taba Hilton and at a camp ground nearby. One wing of the 10-story hotel was torn off. Israeli rescue workers have moved heavy equipment to the site to rescue those still trapped under the rubble.

And the death toll seems certain to rise.
