"This Land is My Land" (JibJab.com, Atom Films)
Political Funny Business
Story aired: Friday, October 08, 2004

The two presidential candidates meet for their second debate tonight. Domestic issues are on the agenda at the town-hall style meeting in St. Louis. And the questions are from a hand picked audience of voters who are leaning -- but could be swayed.

The tone is expected to be less formal than last week's podium debate. But if this past weeks campaign trail attacks are any indication, there could be some angry exchanges as well.

Those looking for a little levity may want to wait until late night, or the internet. And apparently, many people are.

A new parody of presidential candidates John Kerry and George Bush is out today, Brought to you from the folks at JibJab.com, which previously had the two candidates singing a modified rendition of "This Land Is Your Land." The site drew 10 million visitors in July alone and has had more hits than the Kerry and Bush campaign sites combined. This time, JibJab.com animators have the Kerry and Bush sound-a-likes singing "Dixie."

Guests:

Joe Gardner, staff writer for the The Onion

Joel Stein, humorist at Time Magazine
