George Kaufman - Comic Screenwriter

George S. Kaufman kept great company. Like who you ask? Well, the Marx brothers, George and Ira Gershwin, Moss Hart. He collaborated on some of the most comic plays of the twentieth century, including "Animal Crackers," "The Man Who Came to Dinner," and "You Can't Take it With You."

Recently, the Library of America published nine comedies Kaufman co-wrote in a volume called "Kaufman and Company: Broadway Comedies." Here & Now's theater critic Bill Marx has set out to find out more.
