Widener Library
Story aired: Tuesday, November 23, 2004

There are libraries that have a dramatic story to tell, not just in their books, but in their founding. The Widener Library at Harvard University is one such place.

"Widener: Biography of a Library" has just been published and it tells of a titanic tale hidden amongst the shelves.

Here & Now's Michael Goldfarb met the author of the Widener book, Matthew Battles on the steps of the library, which has just been refurbished at a cost of $90 million.
