"Maximum City : Bombay Lost and Found" by Suketu Mehta

Bombay, also called Mumbai, is a city of 19 million people on the western coast of India. It's the home of Bollywood film stars, gang lords, and thousands of ordinary Indians. The courts of India have a backlog of cases that will take 350 years to clear. Even breathing.. is said to be the equivalent to smoking two and a half packs of cigarettes a day.

But Bombay is also intoxicating. Writer Suketu Mehta was Bombay-born. He then lived abroad for 21 years, before moving back for seven years. The result is his new memoir, "Maximum City: Bombay Lost and Found."
