Recently members of the Masterworks Chorale gathered to rehearse for their fall performance of Bach's "Magnificat," and Haydn's "Mass in D Minor." They labored under the baton of 86-year-old Allen Lannom, who has been at the helm of the all-amateur choir for over 53 years. He has announced he will be leaving. Here & Now profiles his work.
