"Fellini Jazz" by Enrico Pieranunzi
Music of Fellini
Story aired: Monday, January 31, 2005

In the films of Italian director Federico Fellini, whether it's "La Strada," "La Dolce Vita," or "8 1/2" to name just a few, images of grotesque clowns or obese ladies of the evening or stern looking priests and nuns come into view.

While these images on screen may provide stunning sights, it's the music in his films we want to pay close attention to. The new CD "Fellini Jazz" does just that.

The music on the CD is performed by Italian pianist Enrico Pieranunzi with a stellar back up band.

Here and Now's jazz aficionado James Isaacs joins us in the studio to talk about the disc.
