Study: Antidepressants Increase Risk of Suicidal Behavior

There's more evidence today that popular drugs used to treat depression may be doing some people more harm than good.

A new study shows that people taking SSRI anti-depressants like Prozac, Paxil, and Zoloft are twice as likely to attempt suicide as those who were given placebos.

Dr. Dean Ferguson at the Ottawa Health Research Institute headed this study. He joins us on the line from his office.
