Saddam Photos, Iraq Memo Spark Iraq Controversy
Story aired: Friday, May 20, 2005

President Bush says he doesn't think that newspaper photos of Saddam Hussein dressed only in his underwear will incite violence in the Arab world.

The photos appeared in a British tabloid and the New York Post.

The US military says it is aggressively investigating the leak of the photographs, which could constitute a violation of the Geneva conventions.

Meantime, a second controversy continues following the leak of previously secret British intelligence memo that says President Bush had decided to oust Saddam Hussein by military action as early at July 2002, and that intelligence was being "bent" to suit that policy.
