U.S. Supreme Court (AP)
Supreme Court Decisions
Story aired: Monday, June 27, 2005

On the final day of its session, the US Supreme Court has issued momentous rulings concerning the Ten Commandments and internet file sharing. Concerning the Commandments, the justices ruled 5-to-4 that overtly religious displays of the Ten Commandments cannot be placed inside courthouses, but are legal outside on government land. Concerning file-sharing, they ruled that internet file-sharing companies can be held responsible if they encourage their customers to download music and movies. The high court has issued several other key rulings, but so far this morning none of the justices has offered his or her retirement.
