The Rove Connection
Story aired: Monday, July 18, 2005

A partisan battle is brewing in Washington this week: on one side, those who defend White House Senior Advisor Karl Rove and on the other, Democrats who demand Rove's resignation.

The plot thickened today with Cooper's article in Time Magazine, stating unequivocally that Rove was the first one to tell him that Former Ambassador Joseph Wilson's wife worked for what Rove called "the agency" and that Wilson's wife was responsible for sending Wilson on a mission to find weapons of mass destruction in Niger, Africa.

Another of Cooper's sources was revealed today: Lewis Libby who is Vice President Dick Cheney's chief of staff.

Guests:

Joe Klein, political reporter of Time Magazine.
