New Set of 9/11 Transcripts Released
Story aired: Friday, August 12, 2005

The New York City fire department today has released new records of the September 11th attacks. Among the materials released are some 12,000 pages of oral histories from more than 500 firefighters and emergency workers about the chaos surrounding the collapse of the World Trade Center's Twin Towers that day.

The release of the information comes after the New York Times sued the city in 2002. Three years and several lawsuits later, the information is now available to the public.

Guests:

Jim Dwyer, reporter for the New York Times
