Britian Plans to Rewrite Rules For the War on Terror Story aired: Friday, August 12, 2005
British officials decided today that Omar Bakri Mohammed, who gained notoriety for calling the 9/11 hijackers "the magnificent 19," will not be allowed back into Britain.
If new anti-terrorism rules go into effect in Britain, Bakri could face criminal charges for saying he would not report a potential bomber to police.
Two journalists in Britain have been providing eye-opening views of Bakri, his followers and other radical Muslims that Britian is now being forced to deal with. Shiv Malik, correspondent for the Independent of London, who spent several weeks with Britain's largest radical Islamic group, Hizb Ut Tahrir, and Charles Hymas, managing editor at the Sunday Times, which placed an undercover agent with the group "The Savior Sect," discuss their finding and the British reaction.
