Hands on Worldwide Story aired: Thursday, September 08, 2005
Thousands of volunteers are streaming to the Gulf Coast to try to help out with the response to Hurricane Katrina. But there's been criticism that bureaucracy and red tape has prevented the volunteers for helping in the relief effort.
David Campbell, a Boston high-tech executive who traveled to the Indian Ocean region after the tsunami, is bringing some of what he learned there to the Gulf region. He's just set up a non-profit called "Hands on Worldwide" to coordinate volunteers.
