An editorial in this week's New England Journal of Medicine blasts the FDA for rejecting its own advisory panel's recommendation that emergency contraception know as "the morning after pill" be made available over-the-counter"

Chris Mooney, author of the just released "The Republican War on Science" says the move is another example of the Bush administration distorting scientific evidence to advance conservative, right-wing, Christian ideals, masquerading as science.
