The so-called "bird flu" rarely jumps from bird to human, and hasn't learned how to transmit from human to human. But scientists fear the virus will get smart -- soon.
Now, American researchers are teaming up with a group of former bio-weapons specialists in Russia to track avian flu in wild birds before it spreads to humans.
Guests:
Dr. Michael Callahan the director of Bio-defense and Mass Casualty Care at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is collaborating with Russian scientists on the bird flu.
Beth Murphy, filmmaker who has just returned from spending three weeks with Russian scientists in remote areas of Siberia and Mongolia for her upcoming documentary "Flu Time Bomb."
