Fuel: Back To Basics
Story aired: Wednesday, October 26, 2005

As winter approaches many families are bracing for home heating bills that will be several hundred dollars higher than last year for natural gas and oil.

The skyrocketing prices are driving some people to turn back the clock to old alternatives such as coal and wood. Some stores that sell coal and wood stoves here in the Boston area are out of stock until January or even later.

Businessman Brian Williams digs into the details of the alternative heating wave.

Guests:

Brian Williams, president of Williams Coal and Oil
