Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa. gestures during a Capitol Hill news conference, Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005 to discuss the Iraq War.
Congressman, Administration Exchange Salvos Over Iraq
Story aired: Friday, November 18, 2005

Washington is still reeling from yesterday's call by Pennsylvania Congressman and war veteran John Murtha for an immediate pullout from Iraq. On The Today Show this morning, a White House spokeswoman said that while the White House respects Congressman Murtha's military service in Vietnam, it has a serious policy disagreement with him. A statement from President Bush in Asia reads a little differently: the statement attacks Congressman Murtha, saying the Democrat is "endorsing the policy positions of Michael Moore and the extreme liberal wing of the Democratic party."

Guests:

Dana Milbank, reporter for the Washington Post
