"Home Movies"
Family Ties
Story aired: Wednesday, January 11, 2006

"Home Movies" weaves together the true family stories of five dancers, creating a heart-wrenching and sometimes hilarious look at life in America.

Real home movies are shown behind the performers, a diverse bunch with different shapes and sizes and levels of dance training.

Here and Now's Lynn Menegon recently caught a rehearsal, where she asked the dancers about their stories. Aaron Jungels co-founded Everett Dance Theater with his mother and sister Rachel. On stage he tells the story of how, when he was ten, his parents let him and his 12-year-old brother take a 300-mile bike-ride from Rhode Island to Maine.... alone.

Guests:

Aaron Jungels
