With lobbyist Jack Abramoff and at least two lawmakers ensnared in an influence-peddling scandal, a Senate committee this morning is considering the numerous proposals that anxious lawmakers have floated to restrict the gifts, trips and meals that lobbyists give them. This is apparently having an immediate impact in many restaurants in Washington.
