Enron: Defense Has Unusual Argument Story aired: Monday, February 13, 2006
The first government witness is back on the stand as the fraud and conspiracy trial of former Enron executives Kenneth Lay and Jeffrey Skilling enters its second week in Houston.
Mark Koenig is one of 16 ex-Enron executives who have pleaded guilty and are cooperating with federal prosecutors in the case against Skilling and Lay, but the defense is using an unusual argument -- telling the jury that Koenig and the others lied when they already admitted to crimes at Enron.
