Belle and Sebastian
Belle and Sebastian
Story aired: Thursday, March 02, 2006

For a decade the Scottish Indie band, 'Belle and Sebastian' has attracted a passionate following with their bittersweet lyrics and lush orchestrated pop music.

On their latest album, "The Life Pursuit," the band has diversified their sound -- ranging from airy California riffs to funk and soul.

Last year the band was voted "The Best Scottish Band of All Time" by Scottish magazine, The List. They beat out the Eurythmics, Franz Ferdinand and Travis for the honor. They have come a long way from the Glaswegian church halls and libraries where they first found an audience.

Guests:

Micke Cooke, Belle and Sebastian

Stuart Murdoch, Belle and Sebastian
