Massachusetts Healthcare Bill Now Law Story aired: Wednesday, April 12, 2006
The Massachusetts sweeping healthcare reform bill is now law. The bill requires health care coverage for nearly everyone in the state including the near half-million who do not have healthcare insurance now.
Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney signed the bill into law today during a ceremony inside Boston's historic Faneuil Hall.
Here and Now's Martha Bebinger joins us from the scene to talk about the new law.
