Selling Sex in Germany
Story aired: Thursday, May 04, 2006

Congress holds a hearings today on how next month's World Cup soccer games in Germany could become a destination for illegally trafficked women.

Selling sex is legal in Germany. And with the World Cup attracting one million visiting soccer fans there are reports that 40,000 prostitutes from abroad will also swarm into the country. This has human rights officials worried that many of those women will be brought in against their will.
