Treating AIDS

Tens of thousands of doctors, activists and leaders will gather in Toronto this week for the 16th international AIDS conference, and many say they are optimistic. Here & Now looks at one issue surrounding the disease -- increasing the number of patients who have access to treatment.

Doctors Paul Farmer and Jim Kim co-founders of the Boston based Partners in Health organization, which runs successful aids treatment programs in the developing world join us to explain the challenges, as well as some of the novel approaches they've developed from Haiti to Lesotho.
