National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration infrared satellite shows Hurricane Katrina, Aug. 29, 2005
Fixing FEMA Story aired: Friday, August 18, 2006
Almost a year after Hurricane Katrina ravaged the Gulf Coast, FEMA Director David Paulison said today that the agency has taken steps to correct its biggest problems and the right resources are in place to help respond to the next disaster.
But critics of the agency say lessons have not been learned from last year's hurricane and the FEMA is not prepared for the current hurricane season that is already underway.
