Frederic Franklin is an enduring light in the world of dance. Born in Liverpool, England he was a star of the ballet stage the 1930s thru the 60s, when he danced with the fabled Ballets Russes, a company which helped to establish modern ballet in America.

These days Franklin is a star on screen in a documentary about the Ballets Russes. The company brainstormed across the U.S. in trains and buses starting in the early days ofWorld War II when ballet was new to America.
