U.S. Supreme Court (AP)
On the Docket
Story aired: Thursday, September 28, 2006

The Supreme Court's new term begins next week.

Justice will consider whether green card holders who commit crimes should be deported, from there, they go on to debate a rare late term abortion procedure, greenhouse gas emissions and school racial preferences.

And on Tuesday the court agreed to decide if public employee unions must get special permission before spending some of those dues on political causes.

Jonathan Turley of George Washington University Law School
