Lawmakers in the House and Senate approved legislation that sets up "military commissions'' to try terrorists. It also would prohibit the severe abuse of detainees, like mutilation and rape, but grant the President leeway to decide which other interrogation techniques are permissible. We speak to the Christian Science Monitor's Gail Chaddock about the politics behind the legislation and with Scott Silliman, Professor of the Practice of Law at Duke University School of Law. Professor Silliman is a former military attorney.
