William Petersen in "Dublin Carol"
From "CSI" to "Dublin"
Story aired: Tuesday, December 12, 2006

E. William Petersen set Hollywood abuzz when he announced he was taking a hiatus in the middle of the season of the CBS hit television show "CSI." in order to appear in the play "Dublin Carol" with the Trinity Repertory Company.

His character John Plunkett also deals with dead bodies -- he is an undertaker -- but this alcoholic undertaker facing his past on Christmas Eve is a far cry from CSI's cerebral Gil Grissom.

Here and Now's Emiko Tamagawa caught up with Peterson to ask "why the stage instead of the TV screen?"
