"Girl with Glasses"
Optical Illusions
Story aired: Wednesday, January 10, 2007

Dorothy Parker's quip that "man seldom make passes at girls who wear glasses" convinced many young girls to leave theirs at home and squint through life.

Marissa Walsh's new book challenges that notion and celebrates girls with glasses. On a recent stroll through Harvard Square she found quiet a few girls with glasses who clearly remember their first pair.
