Kate Burton's parents where Richard Burton and actress Cybil Williams Christopher. But Burton has so forged her own path that some audiences may not even know about her acting lineage.

Burton is perhaps best known as the surgeon struggling with Alzheimer's in the smash TV hit "Grey's Anatomy." But she is accomplished on stage as well and received a Tony nomination for her portrayal of "Hedda Gabler." And Burton takes to the stage once again, this time in Boston as Madame Ranevskaya in the Huntington Theatre Company's brand-new production of "The Cherry Orchard."
