Experts Paint Grim Picture of Iraq
Story aired: Wednesday, January 10, 2007

Experts on Capitol Hill painted a grim picture of the country and Baghdad where most troops in any surge to Iraq would go. Senator Joe Biden is holding the first Democratically-controlled hearings on the Iraq War. Michael O'Hanlon of the Brookings Institution told senators the U.S. is loosing in Iraq but that there is still hope for salvaging a better outcome. His also said the daily violence in Iraq is almost as bad as in Saddam Hussein's day.

For a response we turn to Boston Globe reporter Rick Klein.
