Using MySpace to Get His Space
Story aired: Wednesday, January 31, 2007

The emotional pull of the ancestral home takes on a new dimension in a real estate market gone haywire as 26-year-old liquor store clerk Brad Ford is discovering.

Ford was largely raised by his grandmother in her house on Cape Cod here in Massachusetts. The three bedroom cedar shingled Cape style house overlooking the ocean has been sold 4 times since his family was forced to sell it up after she died in 1992. The sale price then was $385,000. Today the asking price is close to $1.8 million.

Brad can't afford that, so is using his MySpace page to solicit money to help help him realize his dream.
