"About a Little Girl"
Story aired: Monday, March 12, 2007

Michael and Carl Lund grew up with a priceless document hung on a wall in their home. It was an unpublished poem by Pulitzer Prize winning poet William Carlos Williams. The poem was written about their mother when she was 11-years-old and had just been diagnosed by Dr. Williams with leukemia. Today, the family is giving the poem to Southeast Missouri State University. We speak to Michael Lund about the 38-line, typewritten poem, "About a Little Girl."
