Women and Sexual Abuse in the Military

The Journal of Psychosomatic Medicine conducted a study in 2004 in which it found that 64 percent of female veterans say they were sexually abused while they were in the military.

And in a startling article in Salon, Helen Benedict writes about a U.S. solider in Iraq who admits to carrying a knife to protect herself from being raped by male soldiers in her unit.
