Iranian Diplomat Released Story aired: Tuesday, April 03, 2007
An Iranian diplomat seized two months ago by uniformed gunmen in Iraq has been released and is now back in Iran. And officials in Iraq say they are seeking the release of five other Iranians detained there by the U.S. military.
The development comes as British Prime Minister Blair said the next two days will be critical to resolving the dispute over a Navy crew seized by Iran. And at his news conference this morning, President Bush said there should be no quid pro quo when it comes to hostages.
