Sylvia Poggioli
Story aired: Friday, April 20, 2007

Sylvia Poggioli has been with National Public Radio since 1982. She's covered the fall of communism in Eastern Europe, the first Persian Gulf War and has won a Peabody Award for her coverage of the Bosnian conflict.

And she continues to report from all over Europe on the serious issues, as well as giving us vivid pictures of la dolce vita, such as tasting olive oil and picking olives in the Italian countryside.
