Wolfowitz Under Fire Story aired: Tuesday, April 24, 2007
A committee appointed by the World Bank's board is investigating whether President Paul Wolfowitz abused his position in approving a high-paying promotion for his girlfriend who also worked for the bank.
In an editorial this week, the Financial Times called for him to step down. And a group of former senior bank officials also urged him to resign in a letter to the paper.
Wolfowitz is promising changes in his leadership style, but he has also hired prominent defense lawyer Robert Bennett to represent him.
John Cassidy recently profiled Wolfowitz in The New Yorker magazine and joins us with more.
