The Housing Market
Story aired: Wednesday, April 25, 2007

The Commerce Department reports today that new home sales ticked up a notch last month but not as much as economists hoped. That, combined with the news yesterday that existing home sales fell last month in the biggest decline in 18 years, puts homeowners and potential buyers on edge.

But there is some good news on the economy today. The Dow Jones Industrial Average hit 13,000 for the first time, in the first half hour of trading on Wall Street this morning.

Joining us on the line to make sense of the numbers is Mark Zandi of Moody's Economy.com.
