Ward Chamberlin is one of the founders of public broadcasting and of AFS Intercultural Programs. But as we learn from Ken Burns' new PBS series "The War." Chamberlin was also a volunteer ambulance driver in North Africa and Italy with the American Field Service during World War II. He tells us about his experiences there and how they led to the formation of the AFS Intercultural programs.
