The Democrats and Iraq
Story aired: Friday, September 21, 2007

Senate Democrats tried and failed today to pass the Levin-Reed Amendment that would set a timetable for withdrawal of troops from Iraq. The failure caps a week of disappointments for the Democrats. On Wednesday, the Senate blocked legislation by Jim Webb (D-Va.) that calls for "responsible deployment cycles," and on Thursday, the Senate blocked a bill that would have cut off funding for combat in June 2008.

ABC News Senior political analyst Rick Klein weighs in on the Democrats' lack of success on anti-war legislation.
