Mayor Robert Levy
Mayor Levy Has Left the Building
Story aired: Tuesday, October 09, 2007

The mayor's office is empty and closed in Atlantic City. Mayor Robert Levy has left his office, leaving only a note stating that he is away "for medical reasons." Mayor Levy, who has been under public scrutiny recently after falsely claiming to be a member of the green berets, is now the subject of a federal investigation. This is the latest tribulation for the mayor's office in Atlantic City that has seen 5 mayors in the lat 40 years either plead guilty to, or be convicted of a crime. WHYY reporter Susan Phillips has been following the story and joins Robin Young.
