Stephen Colbert?
Stephen Colbert for President?
Story aired: Wednesday, October 24, 2007

Comedian Stephen Colbert of Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report" announced his candidacy for president last week. He's only running in his native South Carolina. Colbert's numbers are strongest among beer drinkers and pot smokers and he has set the lofty goal of winning one delegate in his home state. While Colbert's bid for the nation's highest office may be good for a chuckle to many, some election officials are not laughing. South Carolinians can vote in either party's primary. Joshua Green runs the numbers -- Colbert's viewers vs. likely Colbert voters -- and finds out that....well stay tuned. We also take to Joe Werner of the South Carolina Democratic Party.
