Vets Receive The Legion of Honor Story aired: Monday, November 12, 2007
Last week, French President Nicholas Sarkozy awarded the Order of the Legion of Honor to seven US Veterans of World War II. Napoleon I initiated the award and it remains France's highest honor.
We talk with Charles Shay, who was beknighted by Sarkozy, and Rachel Russo, a French immersion student who helped write the nomination letter on behalf of her grandfather, George Thompson.
