Maria Schneider
Maria Schneider
Story aired: Friday, November 16, 2007

Composer and conductor Maria Schneider is a rarity in the music world: she leads an 18-piece orchestra through jazz pieces that are textural and richly cinematic. We speak to her about her new CD "Sky Blue" and about how she is able to pursue a big band sound despite the realities of the modern day music scene.
