Cyclone Relief in Bangladesh
Story aired: Tuesday, November 20, 2007

Rescue workers are bracing for a second wave of deaths from hunger and disease in Bangladesh were thousands were killed in last week's Category Four cyclone which created a 16 foot tidal surge that ravaged costal towns.

As the water recedes the losses are less than anticipated, but the difficulty today is in getting water, food and shelter to survivors in isolated areas -- especially along the Bay of Bengal.

Robert Patton, regional co-ordinator for Emergency Managment with the aid agency ADRA gives us an update on relief efforts.
