"Mayflower : A Story of Courage, Community, and War"
Plymouth Rock Repairs
Story aired: Tuesday, November 20, 2007

Plymouth Rock may not be as grand as books and the legends would have you believe, but author Nathaniel Philbrick still loves it. He's written a number of books about maritime history, most recently the bestseller "Mayflower: A Story of Courage, Community and War." He says that the rock's craggy past, it's been broken apart, cemented together, chipped away, painted and etched, makes it an enduring American symbol.
