"666" Phone Exchange
As a lifelong resident of the small, predominantly Christian town of Reeves, Louisiana, Mayor Scott Walker was tired of hearing comments about the 666 telephone exchange number that the town had been using for decades. He's successfully campaigned to get the number changed.

M.T. Anderson
We revisit a conversation we had with M. T. Anderson. Anderson won the 2006 National Book Award for Young People's Literature for his book "The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing: Traitor to the Nation: Volume 1: The Pox Party." The book, which comes out in paperback tomorrow, tells the tale of a young slave boy raised in pre-revolutionary Boston as the subject of an experiment in human intelligence.
